I remember it vividly: that first time I felt the magic of creating something delicious in the kitchen. It sparked a fire within me, leading me down the path to Johnson & Wales University. My culinary journey took me all over the country, working in some incredible kitchens.
But as I traveled, I noticed a shift. Big corporations were dominating the food landscape, and the focus seemed to be shifting away from the heart and soul of food – the kind you find in places like this, family-owned businesses. I saw the value in those small-town connections, the relationships built with every customer, the pride in every expertly cut piece of meat.
My time in the corporate world taught me a lot, but it also reaffirmed what truly mattered. The importance of supporting local businesses, of building a community around food.
When the opportunity arose to return home and continue my uncle's legacy at Miller's Meat BBQ & Catering, I knew it was my calling. I'm determined to make Miller’s the best in town. A place where quality is top-notch, and where every customer feels like family.
